PNB Scam: Another shock to Nirav Modi, Red Corner notice issued against wife Amy

New Delhi: Diamond businessman Nirav Modi, who is absconding with the money of Punjab National Bank (PNB), has received another big blow. Now Interpol has issued a red corner notice against Amy Modi, wife of fugitive diamond trader Nirav Modi. This red notice has been issued against Amy Modi due to the money laundering case filed against him.

In February last year, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) named Amy Modi in a supplementary charge sheet. Amy Modi's name was also among those who benefited from Nirav Modi's two 30 million dollar apartments in New York. These apartments were included in the Rs 637 crore foreign property which was seized. It also included a 56.97 crore flat in London. It is noteworthy that Interpol has already issued a red corner notice against Nirav Modi, his brother Nihal (Belgian citizen) and sister East Modi. 48-year-old Nirav Modi and his 60-year-old Uncle Mehul Choksi are accused of scam of more than 11 thousand crores.

Through the property of fugitive Nirav Modi, the work of recovering the bank's loss is going on. In June, jewelery worth Rs 1350 crore was brought from Hong Kong to India. After this, his property worth Rs 329 crore was also seized in July.
