Invitation to general public at CM Bhagwant Mann's swearing-in ceremony

Amritsar: Future Punjab CM and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Bhagwant Mann has invited the people of the state for the swearing-in ceremony to be held on March 16. Bhagwant Mann urged people to attend the function in large numbers and also urged men to come on that day, especially in 'Basanti' (yellow) turbans and women wearing yellow 'shawls'.

In fact, the swearing-in ceremony will be held at Khatkar Kalan, the native village of the great freedom fighter Bhagat Singh of the Nawanshahr district. Mann, 48, also requested the people to build Punjab that Bhagat Singh had dreamt of. The elected Punjab CM on Monday shared a video on Twitter and wrote, "Not only me but also three crore people of Punjab will take an oath with me. Together we have to realize Bhagat Singh's dreams and we will implement his vision on March 16.

Bhagwant Mann further said, "I have not become the only CM. You've all become chief ministers. Now you will have your own government. At the same time, the AAP  leader requested the people of the state in the video, saying, "I urge my brothers and friends to wear a Basanti coloured turban and sisters to wear a Basanti coloured scarf on that day. We will change the Khatkar Kalan to 'Basanti' colour that day."
