IPL 2021: MI vs KKR, will KKR maintain his rhythm, or MI will savor his first victory

New Delhi: Mumbai Indians (MI) will take on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Chennai on Tuesday in the 5th match of the 14th season of the IPL. Two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders, who have excelled against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), will take on arch-rivals Mumbai Indians with the intention of maintaining their rhythm. The match will begin at 7.30 pm at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

KKR beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 10 runs in the first match on Sunday. After the aggressive batting of the top order, KKR adopted a fearless tone with the help of Dinesh Karthik's 22 off 9 balls. Skipper Eoin Morgan hinted at the toss when he dropped his most trusted player Sunil Narine. The opening pair of Nitish Rana and Shubman Gill made their temper clear by attacking with the very first ball.

Batsmen like Andre Russell, Karthik, and Morgan in the middle order were expected to perform better than KKR in 2020, but this could not happen due to a lack of strategy. This time the KKR has strengthened the middle order by including Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan. Rana's wrist technique and aggression were seen on Sunday when KKR kept the pressure on the match even after Rashid Khan's double blows. Now, in the clash between KKR and MI today, it will be interesting to see if KKR can maintain its old rhythm or whether Rohit Sharma's bat derails their intentions.
