'It is not right to influence the court through religious sentiments...', know why Allahabad High Court said this?

Lucknow: The Allahabad High Court has made significant observations on a plea related to the use of loudspeakers from temples and mosques and the extent of their voice. The court said it is not right to influence the court through religious sentiments. In fact, the petitioner named Zahar had filed a petition in this regard.

The court also expressed dissatisfaction over the behaviour of the lawyer who is defending the case. The petitioner had filed the contempt petition saying that the high court's 2013 order was not being complied with. The plea said the court had directed to frame a policy on the use of loudspeakers in mosques and temples in the state and its sound limit. However, the government did not comply with this order. The court has earlier also dismissed the contempt petition filed in connection with loudspeakers installed in mosques, calling it a sponsored case.

In the previous order, the court has said that it is not anyone's fundamental right to give Azaan by installing loudspeakers in mosques. The order had given the concession to install loudspeakers with limited noise in two mosques falling under the Kakoda police station area of Badaun. It was also said that a policy regarding the use of loudspeakers should be formulated. According to the petitioner, this order of the court itself is being violated.
