New Delhi: Wasim Jaffer, a former Indian opener, recently revealed a humorous anecdote about former cricket great MS Dhoni. Jaffer claims that despite the fact that Pepsi is inappropriate for players due to its contents, Dhoni used to drink it during the drinks break. “During the drinks break, MS Dhoni used to sip Pepsi. It is not permitted. In terms of fitness, it contains a lot of sugar, and athletes are normally recommended to avoid it. Dhoni, on the other hand, had no qualms about downing a can of Pepsi or Coke on a daily basis. That’s exactly the type of person he was. Even when playing at the international level, under extreme pressure, he never veered from his routine. That is what I admire most about him,” Jaffer said. On Friday, July 7, Dhoni will turn 42. He is still the only captain to have won all three ICC white-ball championships. The Ranchi-born batsman, who is renowned for his superb finishing abilities in limited-overs matches, has always struck a chord with both supporters and detractors alike with his modesty.
