NEW DELHI: In Jammu and Kashmir, 126 terrorists have been killed by security forces during the past six months as part of an anti-terror operation. According to the Home Ministry's report, acting under the government's zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, security forces have taken active action against terrorists operating in Jammu and Kashmir. According to the Home Ministry, the concerted strategy and concerted efforts of the security forces have resulted in the death of 126 terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir between January 2019 and July 14, 2019. While during this operation, 75 jawans of our security forces have laid down their lives for the country. The martyrs include 40 security forces personnel who were martyred in the Pulwama terror attack. In a recent written reply in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Home G Kisher Reddy said that the government has strengthened security equipment to effectively deal with the challenges being faced by terrorist organizations and moreover. Various measures like intensified siege and search operations have also been taken by the government to take strict action against anti-national elements.
