England Vs West Indies: Jonny Bairstow hits century as England wins

England Vs West Indies:

In Southampton, on Friday the fifth and last ODI of the five-match series between England England and Westindies took place in which the England beat est Indies by nine wickets. The former sets up stroll to 4-0. A century by Jonny Bairstow helped the England in succeeding. He smashed a career-best unbeaten 141 while Jason Roy hit 96. 

Roy who replaced  Hales took the opportunity in his favour as he scored his second successive fifty. Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid restricted the visitors to 288-6. It is the England’s ninth consecutive ODI victory against West Indies.

The all-rounder Ben Stokes and opener Alex Hales were suspended after the duo are involved in an altercation outside a Bristol nightclub. 

The second match out of the five against West Indies at Trent Bridge was abandoned due to rain.

“I’m pretty pleased. It’s nice to finish a long summer with some runs and head into the winter with confidence. You wait a long time for a first hundred and when it comes you want to capitalise,” said man-of-the-match Bairstow.

Meanwhile, The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) declared that the England's all-rounder  Ben Stokes and his team-mate Alex Hales will not be considered for selection in the international matches until further notice thus there is doubt of stokes role in the upcoming Ashes series.
