Karnataka: Major News development today following CM Tussle

KARNATAKA NEWS DEVELOPMENTS: 1. The two leading candidates for the position of Karnataka's new chief minister, Congress leaders DK Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah, met with the party's high brass on Tuesday in New Delhi. According to sources, Siddaramaiah will serve as CM for two years and DK Shivakumar for three. The officials of the Congress, however, have not confirmed this.

2. Former CM Siddaramaiah and KPCC president D.K. Shivakumar have both dug in their heels in the race for the position of Karnataka's chief Minsiter. Each one aspires to be chosen for the top position and take pride in the significant triumph in Karnataka.

3. The ongoing tussle for the position of chief minister broke down party lines and became public. BJP leaders Dr. K. Sudhakar and S. T. Somashekhar, who were once close associates of Siddaramaiah, blamed the former CM for their decision to leave the Congress, which ultimately caused the collapse of the Congress-JD(S) coalition government led by H. D. Kumaraswamy. 

4. In Bandipur, Nagarahole, the BRT Tiger Reserve, and the Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary, a three-day coordinated elephant estimation begins at Mysuru. This is happening all over south India.

5. The Central Institute of Indian Languages in Mysuru will host a training workshop on recording languages that are in danger of disappearing.

Krishna, president of the Karnataka Gandhi Smarak Nidhi, Dr. Raju Krishnamurthy of Raju's Healthy India, 'Mukhyamantri' Chandru, a well-known Kannada theatrical and film star, and Major. 

9. Based on the life of B. Manjamma Jogathi, the Kannada play Maatha will be performed by Kaajaana. The event will start at 6.30 p.m. at Suchitra Cinema and Cultural Academy at Banashankari II stage, Bangalore.
