Karnataka Poll 2023: BJP to kickstart Vijay Sankalp yatra from March 11

KARNATAKA: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will hold its Vijay Sankalp Yatra in Dakshina Kannada from 11-13 March,  BJP president Sudarshan Moodbidri reportedly said.

In anticipation of the upcoming Karnataka Assembly Elections, the BJP has organised four distinct yatras in the state that began on March 1 and would last for 20 days.

Before May 2023, Karnataka is planned to have legislative assembly elections. The four yatras depart from various locations around Karnataka and will converge in one location after 20 days.

The 'Vijay Sankalp Yatra' was previously launched by JP Nadda on March 1 in Chamarajanagar, Karnataka, and was officially launched by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on March 2 from Belagavi, the election-bound state. On March 3, Bengaluru's Vijaya Sankalpa Ratha Yatra was officially launched by Home Minister Amit Shah.

As per reports, the BJP's yatra in Dakshina Kannada would begin on March 11 in Sullia town and conclude with a road performance at 3 o'clock. At 5 pm, a public assembly will take place at Puttur to wrap up the day. In addition, at 5 pm, a public meeting will be held in Surathkal.

Roadshows will be place in Moodbidri at 3 pm and Mangaluru at 10.30 am on the third day, or March 13.

At an earlier speech during the Vijay Sankalp Rath Yatra, BJP national president JP Nadda attacked the JDS and the Congress party, calling them co-conspirators who dropped charges against more than 1,700 members of the outlawed organisation Popular Front of India (PFI).

"These two parties, JDS and Congress, work together to commit crimes. Both parties dismissed charges against more than 1,700 PFI members who disrupted Karnataka's social order. PFI is a banned organisation. Congress and JDS are both equally important. Both adhere to a politics of division, family rule, and corruption. These parties have a reputation for casteism, communalism, and corruption "Nadda stated during a public gathering.
