HUBBALLI:  Delhi chief minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal, with his Punjab counterpart Bhagwant Mann, addressed a public gathering in Davangere today, March 4, in a bid to step up the party’s preparations for assembly elections in the state.

Arvind Kejriwal said at the public gathering that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is set to overthrow the ruling BJP in Karnataka. "We are strengthening AAP in Karnataka," he said.

Kejriwal said the reporters as he landed in Karnataka this morning for a rally in Davanagere city, "We are here to overthrow the 40% commission BJP government." After landing in Hubballi, Arvind Kejriwal said that Karnataka is governed by a 40% commission government. That has to be removed. "What we have accomplished in New Delhi is well known. Our goal is to provide the state with transparent and honest government " he said.

Bhagwant Mann, the chief minister of Punjab, claimed that farmers in Karnataka experience comparable issues to those experienced by Punjabi farmers. The three harsh agricultural laws have been repealed by the federal government, but the state of Karnataka has not yet done the same.

Farmers in Karnataka are killing themselves. "We've put the Elderly Pension Plan in place (OPS). Nevertheless, the Karnataka administration has not bothered to put OPS into practise "He said.

Bhagwant Mann added that the AAP would address the issues facing farmers. "We'll install a trustworthy, free of corruption government in the state. Initiatives would be taken to build industries, offer free electricity, and end unemployment."

Kejriwal’s visit in  the poll-bound Karnataka also comes in the backdrop of former Bangalore city police commissioner Bhaskar Rao leaving the party to join the BJP on Feebruary 28.
