Karnataka government is set to launch the redesigned web portal titled 'Skill Connect' of the Skill Development Department on July 15. "By giving users access to work prospects, this portal would make it possible to analyse skill gaps. This would make it easier to address the industry-wide human resource deficit. The previously existing portal has been updated to improve its effectiveness, "He said. The Minister stated that there shouldn't be a mismatch between industry demands and student skill sets and that the government has partnered with businesses to impart skills to students, The technology is being used effectively to transform the system, he said. Learning data analytics, artificial intelligence, and cyber security has been made essential under the National Education Policy (NEP 2020). The state of Karnataka is the first in the nation to sign an MoU with NASSCOM with the aim of providing students with skill training. Additionally, according to Minister, the government has an agreement with Infosys SpringBoard, which offers 5,000 add-on courses.
