Earlier on Thursday (June 2, 2022), Islamic militants had shot dead a bank manager in Kulgam and a labourer from Bihar in Budgam. Two labourers were targeted in Budgam district. Dilkush Kumar lost his life in it. He was a resident of Araria in Bihar. At the same time, Rajan, a labourer from Punjab, was injured in the same attack. The two worked at a brick kiln in Magarpora Chandura area. According to media reports, Dilkush Kumar was only 17 years old. The incident took place at around 9.20 pm. Police, who rushed to the spot after getting information about the terror attack, admitted the two labourers to the hospital. Dilkush Kumar succumbed to his injuries during treatment. At the same time, Rajan's condition is said to be stable.

Police have registered an FIR in the case and launched a search for the terrorists. The area has been cordoned off. Security forces are carrying out search operations. It may be recalled that the terrorist attack in Budgam took place just hours after  the murder of vinay kumar, a bank manager from Rajasthan, in Kulgam. Vinay Kumar was killed in his office. Islamic terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba has claimed responsibility for Vinay's murder. A Hindu woman teacher, Rajni Bala, was shot dead by terrorists at a government school in Gopalpura. Due to the ongoing target killing in the Valley, Kashmiri Hindus have also started migrating again.
