Keshav Prasad Maurya's big statement on population control

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya's big statement on population control has come to the fore. He said India's population is growing rapidly. There are many countries in the world where the population is declining. It is a challenge. Merely introducing a law is not the solution. He said that a number consider population growth as the goal. Maurya further said that this is an issue on which everyone needs to work together. Earlier, CM Yogi had also expressed concern over the growing population.

In the month of August last year, the Uttar Pradesh State Law Commission submitted a draft on the population control policy to CM Yogi and now it is awaited when this population control policy will be implemented in the state. Justice AN Mittal, then chairman of the UP State Law Commission, had prepared a draft on population control. Many important things were said in this draft. In which it has been clearly stated that those who have more than 2 children will not be given a government job and those who are in government jobs will not get promotions.

Earlier, CM Yogi had also expressed concern over the growing population, saying that the population control programme went ahead successfully, but the situation of demographic imbalance could not even be created. CM Yogi had said that ''we all know that for the last five years, mass awareness programs are being run all over the country regarding population stabilization, the population on a certain scale is also the achievement of the society, but this achievement is only when Society can achieve a state of health and wellness.''
