Amritsar: Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha has been made the chairman of the state's interim advisory committee. However, the Bhagwant Mann government's decision has triggered a political uproar. On Tuesday, a PIL was filed in the High Court against the decision. Giving 20 reasons for challenging the appointment, advocate Jagmohan Singh Bhatti, in his petition filed in the court, said it was in violation of the laws of both the state and the Centre.

Bhatti told the court that sending Chadha to the Rajya Sabha from Punjab was also unconstitutional as he was not a member of the state assembly. He said that thus a lot of people can be advisable on an ad hoc basis (a quick decision taken looking at the situation). Interference in the affairs of the Punjab Government may increase. He told the court that there cannot be another parallel government within the government. He further said "This means that the CM is just there to see and he is temporary. They also need someone else's advice for the public interest, that too of those who are not even a member of the Assembly.'' He said that those who are ministers in the government have to take the oath, but Chadha has not even taken any oath.

Let us know that the opposition parties are also cornering the AAP government of Punjab over this decision and opposing the appointment. He says that Raghav Chadha has been made super CM. Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa has said that Arvind Kejriwal is the super CM, Raghav Chadha is the working CM and Bhagwant Mann is only the showpiece CM.
