Deoghar: Jharkhand is going to get 3 new airports and 14 new air routes soon. Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia made this announcement on Tuesday. Scindia attended the inauguration ceremony of Deoghar airport. It was inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi.
Scindia further said that at present there are 2 airports in Jharkhand. It will be increased to 5 in the coming time. At present, there are airports in Ranchi and Deoghar. The government will now build airports in Bokaro, Jamshedpur and Dumka. He further said that within the last 8 years, the number of passengers in Jharkhand has increased from 1,500 to 7,500 passengers per day.
The same PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the airport in Deoghar. Along with the airport, he also inaugurated several projects worth Rs 16,800 crores. State CM Hemant Soren and Governor Ramesh Bais were also present on this occasion. Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, who was present at the function, said that today is a historic day not only for Deoghar but for the whole of Jharkhand, the dreams we see and when they come true, its happiness is something else. To make that dream come true, PM has come among us today, it is a matter of pride for us.
