New Delhi: Congress Lok Sabha MP Rahul Gandhi has once again gone on a foreign trip. According to media reports, Rahul Gandhi has gone to Europe on a private visit. However, it is being told that Rahul Gandhi may return on July 17 (Sunday) ahead of the presidential election and the monsoon session of Parliament. The very next day, i.e., on July 18, the monsoon session of Parliament is scheduled to begin, it will continue till August 6. The election of the President and the Vice-President will also be held in this monsoon session of Parliament. The presidential election is scheduled for July 18 and the vice-presidential election on August 6.

Let us tell you that this 'private' foreign visit of Rahul Gandhi is taking place at a time when the Goa unit of Congress is under threat. However, no official statement has been issued by Congress on Rahul's 'private' foreign trip. Meanwhile, the Congress party is also scheduled to hold a big meeting on Thursday over the election of its president. But former party president Rahul Gandhi will not be able to attend the meeting. Let us know that after suffering a crushing defeat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Rahul Gandhi had resigned from the post of Congress president.

The post of Congress President is currently held by Sonia Gandhi. Whether Rahul Gandhi will contest the post or not is not yet clear. The Congress meeting on Thursday is also likely to brainstorm on plans for the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' or the Unite India campaign, which will begin on October 2. Rahul Gandhi's absence from the meeting will further fuel speculation about the Congress leadership's question.
