Indore and seven other cities of Madhya Pradesh have began making arrangements to cater to nearly 6,000 players and athletes, who will partake in 23 games under ‘Khelo India Youth Game 2023’ to be organized from January 30 to February 11. The Khelo India Games 2023 was unveiled by the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan with the torch mascot and theme song of the Khelo India Youth Games 2023. During this, the Amarkantak torch was flagged off by the Chief Minister. 2023 Khelo India Games' main objective is to infuse a sense of spsirit and enthusiasm among the youth of the state. It was said by the Chief Minister that the month of January has brought a golden opportunity for MPs, so that the interest of the youth towards sports will increase further. The table tennis competition will be held in Abhay Prashal from January 30 to February 3, then basketball matches will be played in Basketball Complex on January 31 and February 4, football (male) will be played in Emerald Heights International School from February 1 to 10, kabaddi will be played in Abhay Prashal from February 5 to 10, tennis will be played in Indore Tennis Club from February 6 to 10, and weightlifting will be held in Basketball Complex on February 6 to 9. Medical facilities will be accessible at the sites and where the players, their coaches, and other officials stay. The administration has formed various committees and assigned the nodal officers to complete the necessary preparations for the activities. According to divisional level officials, water-related sports will be held in the Maheshwar tehsil of the Khargone district.
