BHOPAL: On Tuesday, during the "Think-20" summit taking place in Bhopal under the auspices of the G20, experts will discuss "new complementaries in trade and value chains" and other issues.
On the final day of the two-day conference, they will also host a round table discussion on "Global South and Global Governance for LiFE ((Lifestyle for Environment)".
The colloquium, which started on Monday, has attracted almost 300 attendees and specialists, including 94 international visitors from 22 nations.
An official announced that S T Devare, a former ambassador and the current head of the research advisory council of the Research and Information System (RIS) for Developing Countries, will preside over the closing session. Prof. Sachin Chaturvedi, director general of RIS, will deliver the conference report, the representative added.
The topics of Tuesday's plenary sessions are "New Complementaries in Trade and Value Chains" and "Role of Triangular Co-operation in Localisation of SDGs."
After the valedictory session, the delegates is set to visit Sanchi, located over 40 km from Bhopal. During the inaugural session on Monday, the State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said over 80% of the world's resources were being exploited by a ''handful of people'', an apparent reference to the developed nations, and deprecated the ongoing ''rat race'' in the global arena to beat one another. On December 1, 2022, India assumed the G20 chairmanship for a year. The G20, or Group of 20, is an intergovernmental organisation that brings together the largest industrialised and developing economies of the globe.
