After this, clean Krishna idol with Ganga-Jal. Shri Krishna should be embellished with beautiful clothes during this time. Now offer things and fruits to Krishna. Keep fast on the day, sing hymns and pray to Krishna for a healthy and happy life. He is a giver, he always fulfils wishes of his devotees and blesses them with knowledge and prosperity.

When does Janmashtami celebrate?

Every year Janmashtami festival is celebrated on the Ashtami date of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month. Where is it known that in Dwaparyug, Shri Krishna was born on the Ashtami date at midnight in Rohini Nakshatra with mother Devaki and father Vasudev.
