Kohli, Plessis give RCB a Thumping 8-Wicket Win Over Mumbai

MUMBAI: In the 16th season of the Indian Premier League, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) started their season on a victorious note (IPL). The RCB met Rohit Sharma's Mumbai Indians in a high-profile game (MI). MI had a terrible start since they frequently lost their top-order batsman. In 19.1 overs, MI reached the 150-run milestone. Tilak was the one-man army for MI, scoring an unbeaten 84 off 46 balls while hitting nine fours and four sixes as they came to an end at 171/7.

As a result of Virat Kohli's undefeated 82 and Faf du Plessis' 73, Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Mumbai Indians handily by the margin of eight wickets at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

After recording the victory, it was time to celebrate in the RCB locker room. The celebration in the dressing room was sparked by RCB captain Faf Du Plessis, and Virat Kohli quickly joined in. The team anthem was sung by the RCB players and support staff with a lot of vigour and enthusiasm.

The more aggressive of the two, captain du Plessis enabled RCB to surpass the 50-run threshold in just 5.3 overs. Bangalore scored 53 runs in the first six overs of the powerplay without losing a wicket. The bowlers for the Mumbai Indians were lost as du Plessis quickly reached his fifty-first run in just 29 balls.
