According to Kolkata airport officials, no flights will operate from Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Chennai Ahmedabad to Kolkata from 6 to 19 July 2020 or until further orders. The director of Kolkata airport says that this decision has been taken at the request of the West Bengal government in view of the coronavirus epidemic. More than 5.03 lakh Indians have returned home under the 'Vande Bharat' campaign, which started on May 7 to bring Indians trapped abroad due to Coronavirus infection. Under this campaign, stranded Indians were brought back to 137 countries. The Foreign Ministry gave information in this regard on Friday. The ministry has told that initially there was a target to bring back only two lakh stranded Indians, but given such a large number, it is a huge achievement. The first phase of the campaign ran from May 7 to May 15. The second phase of this campaign continued from 17 to 22 May. However, the government has extended this phase until June 10.
