Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao has given several development projects to Hyderabad. On Wednesday, He launched another development project for municipal solid waste management. On this occassion, He said that Hyderabad now has the most advanced municipal solid waste collection, transportation and treatment system in the country, and no other metro city has such a facility. At the inauguration of the project, the Minister flagged 55 advanced compactors for garbage collection and transportation. According to reports, these vehicles are being introduced for the first time in the country. He also opened a modern transfer station in Sanjeevaya Park here on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion,the Minister said that the Telangana government has set up a state-of-the-art garbage collection, transportation and treatment system, including fleet and transfer stations. The idea is to adopt the modern municipal solid waste management system in the world cities of Hyderabad. With this initiative, all old and ricket garbage trucks will be replaced with modern compactorins in the city in a month .
