Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh have become Union Territories. Both new union territories have come into existence on 31 October. Simultaneously, Girish Chandra Murmu for Jammu Kashmir and Radha Krishna Mathur have been appointed as the new Lt Governor for Ladakh. Radha Krishna Mathur has been sworn in for the post by High Court Chief Justice Geeta Mittal. The oath-taking ceremony took place at the Indus Culture Auditorium in Leh.
