New Delhi:- Leonardo Fornaroli was in great shape at Silverstone to claim his first F3 pole position. The Trident driver moved up the order as the session progressed, posting a time of 1'45.520 on the final lap to secure the top spot for Sunday's feature race. The Italian found a time when others faltered in the second half and was half a second faster than the others at first, but Trident teammate Oliver Goethe closed the gap on the final try was made. The German was just 0.126 seconds off Fornaroli, but he was fast enough to make the front row all Trident. Campos Racing's Josep Maria Marti finished third, joined by his team-mate. Christian Mansell had the best qualifying result of his rookie season so far, finishing fourth for the Spanish team. Cheered by the British fans in attendance, Luke Browning finished eighth, just behind his teammate. Williams Academy fellow driver Franco Colapinto finished ninth in MP Motorsport. Taylor Bernard secured a top-10 start ahead of Johnny Edgar at his home event.
