New Delhi:-  Sir Lewis Carl Davidson Hamilton MBE HonFREng (born 7 January 1985) is a British racing driver currently racing in Formula 1 for Mercedes. In F1, Hamilton has won seven world drivers' championship titles with Michael Schumacher and holds the record for most wins, pole positions (103), and podiums (194).

Born and raised in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, Hamilton joined McLaren's junior driver's program in 1998. Hamilton was born on January 7, 1985, in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. His father, Anthony Hamilton, is of black Grenada descent, while his mother, Carmen Larbalestia, is white, British, and from Birmingham, and he is of mixed race. Hamilton was identified as black. Hamilton's parents divorced when he was two years old, after which he lived with his mother and his half-sisters Samantha and Nicola until he was twelve. Hamilton was then raised Catholic, living with his father, his stepmother Linda, and half-brother Nicolas, who is also a professional racing driver. 

When Hamilton signed for Mercedes in 2013, he reunited with his childhood karting teammate Nico Rosberg. This change came as a surprise to experts and the public.
