Leopard attacks 6-year-old innocent in the middle of night

Indore: Leopard scare has once again been witnessed in village Dudhia Bawdi of Choral forest range. The leopard attacked the family sleeping outside the house. A 6-year-old girl who was injured in the attack has died. The forest department rushed to the spot as soon as the news was received. The officers have also given a compensation of Rs 4 lakh to the family immediately. The body of the girl has been handed over to the family after conducting post mortem. The forest department team is keeping a constant watch on the forest area.

DFO Narendra Pandavda said that the forest department officials had received the news in the morning that 6-year-old Raveena's father Raju had been attacked by a leopard at Dudhia Bawdi in Choral range late last night. Raveena was injured in the attack, and then she died. He said that the incident took place in beat room number 205 of The Choral range. The family was sleeping outside the house at the time of the incident. People around had gathered after hearing the noise after the leopard attack. Hearing the noise, the leopard also ran towards the forest.

The DFO said that immediate assistance of Rs 4 lakh has also been provided to the family members under the Forest Act. In addition, forest officials have been deployed for surveillance. In March 2021, the leopard was seen in Jhabua Farm on Khandwa Road. When the forest department was trying to catch the leopard, 5 persons were injured by the leopard in Shivdham Colony of village Limbodi.
