New Delhi: Following an uproar from opposition parties over price hikes and other issues, the Lok Sabha was adjourned until 12 noon on Tuesday. Members of the Congress, DMK, Trinamool Congress, and Left parties rushed into the well as soon as the House convened at 11 a.m., shouting slogans against the Modi government's price hikes, particularly fuel prices. TRS members also shouted slogans in the well, holding placards asking that the Centre buy paddy from the state. Later, the Shiv Sena and the NCP joined the opposition demonstration. Speaker Om Birla first ignored the objections and proceeded with the House's business. The Speaker, however, postponed the House for around 25 minutes, till 12 noon, as the opposition protest continued.
