NEW DELHI: The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Amendment) Bill, 2021, is expected to be discussed and passed in the Lok Sabha on Monday. On December 6, the centre introduced the Bill in the lower House. Nirmala Sitharaman, a Union Minister, will introduce a Bill to modify the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, and to be considered. She will also make a motion for the Bill's passage in the House. Opposition MPs, on the other hand, would introduce a statutory resolution declaring that this House (Lok Sabha) disapproves of the President's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Amendment) Ordinance, 2021, which was issued on September 30, 2021.
