HYDERABAD: L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Ltd (L&TMRHL) is the first metro rail company in India to use ozone to sanitise its train coaches. To begin, it has installed three portable Ozycare Mobizone machines to sanitise the coaches in order to instil passenger trust in safe travel during the continuing Covid-19 outbreak. Ozone sanitization of the air and surface has been widely utilised in hospitals, healthcare, food processing plants, and for water disinfection, among other places, as long as the proper criteria are followed. For the past few months, Hyderabad Metro Rail has put Ozycare Mobizone equipment through its paces on various metro coaches, followed by a NABL-accredited lab's assessment of the sanitization's performance. The units are capable of neutralising over 99 percent of microorganisms in the air and on the coaches' surfaces. Hyderabad Metro Rail is now deploying Ozycare Mobizone equipment to sanitise metro coaches, giving passengers with a safer travel experience. "These devices are powerful enough to kill over 99 percent of viruses in railway coaches, both from the surface and from the air. This is a strategic move made as part of our confidence-building exercise to make the ride safer for the travellers "MD & CEO of L&T Metro Rail, K.V.B. Reddy, stated.
