Indore: The results of by-elections to 28 assembly constituencies in Madhya Pradesh are due to be announced today. Counting of votes is taking place since 8 am. These results will determine whether Shivraj Singh Chouhan's government will survive in Madhya Pradesh or Kamal Nath's government. Both the BJP and Congress are making their claims about the results. Counting of 28 seats in Madhya Pradesh is continuing. The initial trend of 16 seats of Gwalior-Chambal has come to the fore. Out of this, 8 seats have been taken over by BJP, Congress in 7 seats and BSP in one seat. In Madhya Pradesh, counting of votes is underway for 28 assembly by-elections. BJP is looking to get an edge in the initial trend. BJP 9 and Congress are ahead in one seat. Jyotiraditya Scindia's supporters Tulsi Silavat, Govind Singh Rajput, Prabhu Ram Chaudhary, Pradyumman Singh Tomar, Imarti Devi, Munnalal Goyal, Rajvardhan Singh Dattigaon have taken the lead. While the exit poll is expected to give the BJP 16 to 18 seats, the Congress is expected to get 10 to 12 seats. Polling was held in Madhya Pradesh on November 3. The results will be announced today. The BJP has to win at least 8 seats to remain in power.
