BJP leader's daughter commits suicide, family accuses husband

Bhopal: Tripti Patle, the 42-year-old daughter of former MP minister and BJP leader Moti Kashyap, hanged herself. Moti Kashyap alleges that the son-in-law used to torture her daughter, due to which her daughter took the step of committing suicide. Tripti was working as a professor in a government college. There was a lot of dispute between both the parties in the hospital. Tripti's husband has also levelled the allegation of assault with a knife on Moti Kashyap and his family.

Tripti divorced her first husband in 2017 and had a love marriage with Mahesh Patle. Patle family members said Tripti did not have a child. That is why she used to be worried. She was not tortured by anyone. The family members allege that Tripti had told her sisters that Mahesh harassed her. Mahesh Patle works in Mining Sector.

Aadhartal police station in-charge Shailesh Mishra said the case is under investigation. According to him, Moti Kashyap's daughter Tripti was holding the post of professor in Shahpura college. Tripti hanged herself after returning from college at 6 pm. The family took her to a hospital where doctors declared her dead. Police have not received any suicide letter from the spot.
