Veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar's memorial built in Shivaji Park, BJP MLA writes letter to CM

Hindi cinema's legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar has passed away. After his death, her last rites were performed in Shivaji Park with full state honours. During this time, everyone bid her farewell with moist eyes. Now amidst all this, Maharashtra BJP MLA Ram Kadam has written a letter to CM Uddhav Thackeray requesting him to build a memorial for veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar. In fact, recently he has requested to build a memorial of Lata Ji at Shivaji Park in Mumbai.

 

 

Maharashtra BJP spokesperson Ram Kadam wrote to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, "As you know, the last rites of the late Bharat Ratna Lata Didi were performed with state honours at Shivaji Maidan (Shivaji Park) Dadar, Mumbai. Because of this, on behalf of millions of fans, music lovers and well-wishers of Lata Didi, my humble request is that the memorial of late Bharat Ratna Lata Didi should be built at the same place of Shivaji Park where she merged with the Panchtattva. "

In his letter, he further wrote, "Therefore, you are requested to respect this demand of the public, the monument should be constructed immediately so that this place becomes a place of inspiration for the world".
