The same Maharashtra government issued new instructions on Thursday for the upcoming Christmas festival. At midnight on December 24-25, churchgoers will be approved only up to 50 percent of the capacity of all churches, with sanitization, face masks, physical distancing mandatory.

The same program advises the singer's troupe to maintain enough distance as well as use different mics. While no stalls and shops outside churches will be allowed to ensure cleanliness. No major events, processions, rallies, fireworks, or other ceremonies attracting large crowds will be approved anywhere and all are expected to follow the guidelines issued by local civic bodies or district officials.
