Govt analyses 183 Omicron patients, reveals vital information

New Delhi: Coronaviruses, as well as the new Omicron, is growing rapidly in the country in terms of variants. So far, 358 cases have been registered in 17 States and Union Territories of the country. It is a matter of relief that out of these, 114 patients have also recovered. Most of the cases registered so far in the country for omicron had traveled abroad.

The Central Government has sounded an alert saying that this is the fourth time in the world that covid cases are on the rise. Corona cases are once again at their peak. On December 23, 964,000 cases of coronavirus were reported in a day across the world. Health Ministry Secretary Rajesh Bhushan informed that 183 Omicron cases have been analyzed out of which 121 came to India from abroad. 44 did not go abroad, but most of the contacts had traveled abroad.

He said that out of 183, 87 people had taken both doses of covid vaccine. While there were three people who had also taken booster doses. There are 20 districts in the country where the corona positivity rate is 5-10 percent. Out of these, 9 are in Kerala and 8 in Mizoram. There are 2 districts where the corona positivity rate is more than 10 percent, these 2 districts are in Mizoram.
