Mumbai: A large number of embryo residues have been recovered from a biogas plant of a private hospital in the Wardha district of Maharashtra. Sub Inspector Jyotsna Giri said that 54 bones of 11 skulls and foetuses have been recovered from the biogas panels of a private hospital in Arvi, Wardha following an investigation into an illegal abortion case. Hospital director Rekha Kadam and one of her associates have been arrested. The revelation comes in the wake of an inquiry into the illegal abortion of a 13-year-old girl. The police said that stained clothes, bags, shovels used for excavation and other evidence thrown there have also been seized from there. These have been collected and sent for forensic examination. She then agreed to file her first report in the case on 9th January, five days after the girl's illegal abortion.
