Ranchi: Another incident of mob leaching has been reported in Jharkhand. A drunk child was about to escape with the intention of stealing when the child's father arrived. Then, the people started beating him. In fact, Hazaribagh escaped being a case of mob lynching in the city. The child was running and beating the thief in an inebriated state by a mob in Sainik Colony in the Sadar police station area. However, the police who reached on information saved the man's life from the mob. The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon.

The injured person is Amarnath Rai and lives in Sainik Colony. Amarnath was reportedly standing in front of a man's house on Wednesday afternoon. He saw a child and carried him in his arms. Then, he started taking him away. It was then that the father of the child present created a ruckus which led to the gathering of people from nearby areas. Amarnath took the child before his lap and then the crowd broke down on him. He started beating the thief a lot. The crowd ran and beat the man. Police from Sadar police station rushed to the spot after receiving the news and pacified the crowd.

The police took possession of the man and brought him to the police station. In the interrogation, the police came to know that the man was an Amarnath addict. He had picked up the child in an inebriated state. Thereafter, the child's father did not register a case at Sadar police station. Due to which the police instructed Amarnath from the police station and released him.
