Negligence: Elderly gets two different vaccines, worsens health

Mumbai: In Maharashtra, the number of corona patients is increasing on the one hand and on the other hand, there is a shortage of vaccine. Vaccination centres are closing here every day and people are being sent back. Meanwhile, there are reports of negligence from here. The recent case that has come to light is that of Jalna in Maharashtra. An elderly man was given two different vaccines and the elderly man's health has deteriorated. It is said that the elderly were given the vaccine earlier while in the second dose they were accidentally given covishield.

The elderly man, who has had a vaccine since taking the vaccine, developed rashes on his body and has a fever. According to the information received, Swapnil Lale, Deputy Director, Health, Aurangabad Division spoke about the incident. He said he has ordered an inquiry into the incident. In fact, 72-year-old Dattatreya Waghmare, a resident of Khandvi village in Jalna district, took the first dose of the vaccine on March 22, which was a vaccine.

He was then given the second dose on April 30 at a primary health centre in Srishti village which was a covishield. Now, in this case, the family members of the elderly man say that he has been unwell since taking another dose. Family members said they have a fever and have also developed rashes on the body. The authorities are now monitoring the health of the elderly and are undergoing regular checkups.
