Tragic road accident: 4 killed, villagers set fire to truck

Munger: Recently, once again, there has been a major accident. In fact, the incident took place in Nazri village on Kharagpur-Gangta main road. Four people died in a collision between a truck and an auto. Two of them reportedly died on the spot while two were treated. 6 people are injured. According to reports, two of the six persons are said to be in critical condition. Two students and a student including the auto driver were among the dead. As per the information received, all the injured students are undergoing treatment at Kharagpur Divisional Hospital. The villagers are outraged after the incident and set the truck on fire.

The truck reportedly did not have luggage. On receiving information about the incident, the main road was blocked by villagers and the driver and his mate of the truck fled. Police from Kharagpur and Gangta police stations are camping at the spot. According to reports, three students and an auto driver were among the dead. The incident took place today. This morning, 10 students were travelling from Mohanpur in Gangta to Kharagpur to study tuition and coaching.

Meanwhile, a truck coming at a high speed near Nazri village hit him directly. As soon as the incident happened, Hrithik Kumar (15) Manish Kumar alias Cheeku (19) of Mohanpur village died on the spot. 7 others have been taken to Khadakpur Hospital, where Sonali Kumari (13) Keshav Kumar (20) of Mohanpur village died during treatment. Manish Kumar alias Cheeku is an auto driver.
