West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said she will meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually on Friday, January 7, as the number of daily COVID-19 cases in the state has risen to 14,022.
The Chief Minister remarked today at a news conference in Howrah district, "In the state, the number of daily COVID-19 cases has risen to 14,022, with 33,042 active cases. Tomorrow, I'll have a virtual meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi."
She stated that the necessary RT-PCR test for interstate border region movement would increase limitations, citing the COVID-19 situation in West Bengal.
"There are a total of 2,075 COVID-19 patients in this facility, with 403 containment zones. There are around 19,517 beds available, with a positive rate of 23.17 percent and a fatality rate of 1.18 percent. For interstate border area movement, the RT-PCR is required "she continued. The chief minister also stated that the next 15 days are critical, and that the state government will tighten COVID-19 limitations.
