Mamata govt to provide door-to-door food to poor corona patients

Kolkata: The number of corona patients is continuously increasing in West Bengal. The number of corona patients is increasing from city to village. In such a situation, very poor people, who have been infected with corona. They have neither employment nor arrangements for food. Mamata Banerjee's government of West Bengal has started an initiative for such people.

Bengal Chief Secretary HK Dwivedi has directed all DMs in the state to provide door-to-door food to poor corona patients. Instructions have also been issued to the concerned District Collector to collect complete information in this regard. The cases of corona infection are increasing rapidly in West Bengal. 6,078 new corona cases have been registered in the last 24 hours.

On Monday, 31,030 corona tests were conducted in Bengal, with more than 6,000 new positive cases. Now the total number of active cases in the state has increased to 20189. The discharge rate has been reported at 97.58 per cent, while the mortality rate has been 1.20 per cent. On the other hand, the positivity rate has been recorded at 19.59 per cent. According to the report, 14,99,077 corona tests have been conducted in the state so far. Babul Supriyo was a BJP Lok Sabha MP from Asansol, but after the assembly elections, he broke up with the BJP and returned to the ruling TMC.
