Mandaviya praises NGOs, healthcare workers for their diligent efforts during COVID pandemic

New Delhi: Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya praised NGOs, stakeholders, and healthcare personnel for persistently working with communities during the COVID-19 pandemic to support them in various ways on Thursday.

"I look forward to working with you in the future to engage with communities and bring healthcare services to them. Your efforts will be vital in raising public awareness and increasing adoption of e-health services (such as eSanjeevani and tele-health) "While delivering the keynote presentation at a webinar on 'India's Public Health Response to Manage COVID-19,' the Health Minister remarked.

In comparison to many other nations, India's public health response tactics have resulted in better management of the Omicron surge, according to Mandaviya.

"The COVID-19 epidemic, particularly the recent Omicron spike, has shown the globe the power of strong political will, self-reliance through Atmanirbharta, technology-driven innovation, shared goals, and collaborative efforts through a "Whole of Government" and "Whole of Society" approach."

He went on to say that prompt interventions such as test, track, and treat with focused genome sequencing, confinement through containment zones, community surveillance, protocols for home isolation, and successful clinical treatment have all helped India manage COVID.

During the webinar, the minister emphasised the country's efforts to demonstrate a variety of timely public health measures.
