Manya speaks about how the pandemic has affected children.

Yesteryear actress Manya Naidu, who is best known in Mollywood for her movies 'Joker and 'Kunjikoonan' is a mom herself, and in an exclusive conversation , she spoke about how the pandemic has affected children.

The ‘Joker’ actress Manya shared that as her daughter was young, the pandemic did have a huge impact on her, but asserts that isn’t the case for others. “Thankfully, Omi isn’t that affected, because she is young and all she wants now is my presence. She is happy that I am around, as I am working from home. But, yes, she is missing her friends and cousins. She keeps asking me, ‘Mamma, when will the virus go and, when can we go out’. But I think the whole scenario is tough for the older children. I have heard from my friends that some of them even stopped eating food because they cannot interact with others. A lot of children are mentally affected by the pandemic. Each age group is affected in a different way,” she added.

Manya Naidu also shared that her little munchkin Omshika knows a lot about the pandemic and the virus. “She knows so much about the coronavirus. She wears the mask properly and won’t take off until we reach home. She swears by washing hands with soap, every now and then. She is well informed and cautious and that puts me at ease because I know that she will be alert when she starts going to school,” she concluded.

Meanwhile, Manya was lately in the news for making a generous donation for India’s COVID-19 relief.
