Mehbooba Mufti's daughter Iltija says, 'August 5 is not a historical but a dark day for us'

Srinagar: Iltija Mufti, daughter of former Jammu and Kashmir CM and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti, has said that August 5 is a black day for us. She has said that an atmosphere of panic is being created in Jammu and Kashmir. No one has the freedom to speak here. Iltija's statement came a year before the completion of one year of the removal of Article 370 of the Constitution from Jammu and Kashmir.

It is noteworthy that the Central Government has extended the custody of former Jammu and Kashmir CM Mehbooba Mufti for three months on Friday. The central government has placed her under house arrest under the Public Safety Act (PSA). Mehbooba Mufti has been in custody since the removal of Section 370 from Jammu and Kashmir in 2019. Speaking to a private news channel, Iltija Mufti said, "August 5 is not a historic day for us. August 5 is a black day for us. I cannot answer the question as to why the Ministry of Home Affairs has imprisoned my mother, the message is that she wants to make my mother's case an example. "

Iltija Mufti said that a collective struggle is needed against the abolition of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. She said that there is no independent in Jammu and Kashmir now, an atmosphere of fear has been prepared here. All the people are in jail. The killing of Wasim Bari is proof that terrorism will not end with the removal of 370.
