Addressing a program, Gadkari said, "We need to strike a balance between protecting ourselves and speeding up the economy." He admitted that the lockdown implemented due to Coronavirus has created an economic crisis and the revenue of the center has also decreased.

He said that a prolonged lockdown would create a more serious crisis than the corona epidemic. Gadkari called it his personal opinion and said that it is not a matter of questioning the profit and loss of lockdown. He said, 'It is not right to discuss whether a lockdown was required or not. At that time, appropriate decisions were taken. We have to learn from experiences. There is no need to practice politics on lockdown.
