RAMPUR: In a horrifying incident in Rampur, a small boy's life was tragically cut short by a brutal act of violence. The innocent six-year-old, Yug Yadav, son of engineer Yogendra Yadav, met a gruesome fate at the hands of his 13-year-old neighbor. Using a brick as a weapon, the young assailant viciously attacked Yug, causing fatal injuries. The body was found with eyes gouged out at an under-construction site on Sunday. The young boy had ventured out to buy chocolates for his father's birthday but never returned home. Filled with despair and concern, Yug's father lodged a complaint with the police, desperately hoping to find his missing son. It was during the investigation that the shocking truth unraveled. The authorities apprehended a minor residing in the same neighborhood, who also happened to be a drug addict. ASP Rampur, Sansaar Singh, shed light on the chilling details of the crime, stating, "We have recovered both the murder weapon and the victim's missing clothing. The accused, a school dropout, has confessed to committing this heinous act under the influence of drugs. He mentioned that he killed Yug because the young boy had been mocking him." The accused, who resides with his mother, had recently stolen a bicycle to fuel his drug addiction. Furthermore, he had previously assaulted several individuals with stones, leading to his mother filing a complaint via the 112 police helpline. "In light of the evidence, we have charged him under IPC sections 302 (murder) and 201 (causing disappearance of evidence), and he will be sent to a juvenile home." This distressing incident serves as a reminder of the urgent need for vigilance and community support to ensure the safety and well-being of our children. May Yug Yadav's soul rest in eternal peace, and may his family find solace in this difficult time.
