In a heart-wrenching incident that unfolded on Wednesday morning, a 45-year-old man in Swatantra Nagar, Outer North Delhi, tragically ended his own life after brutally murdering his wife. The shocking event sent shockwaves through the community.

The perpetrator, identified as Vinod, mercilessly took the life of his 38-year-old wife, Komal, using a sharp object before resorting to hanging himself. The dreadful scene was discovered by the authorities who arrived at the residence promptly.

At around 8 a.m., the Narela police station received a distress call from a concerned citizen, alerting them to the gruesome incident. Responding swiftly, a team of police officers rushed to the location on Street No. 31, Swatantra Nagar, only to find the entrance locked from the inside.

With urgency and concern for the inhabitants, the police team took decisive action and forcefully opened the door. Upon entering, they were met with the lifeless body of Komal lying on the floor. Shockingly, Vinod, a native of district Sonipat in Haryana, was discovered hanging inside the house, using a chunni as a noose.

A senior police official expressed deep sorrow over the tragic events that unfolded, emphasizing the need for support and understanding during such distressing times.
