Bangalore: A distressing incident unfolded on Sunday night in Bazaar Street, where a man named Dayananda, who had recently been released from the Parappana Agrahara Central Jail, stabbed his wife in her private parts and abdomen. The motive behind this horrific act was his suspicion of her being involved in an extramarital affair. Dayananda, known to have a history of criminal activities, confronted his wife, Priyanka, upon his return home while under the influence of alcohol.
Amidst a heated argument, fueled by anger and resentment, Dayananda resorted to a kitchen knife and violently attacked Priyanka, inflicting wounds on her abdomen and private parts. The couple's two children, witnesses to this shocking act, were left traumatized by the harrowing scene. Overwhelmed by panic, Dayananda hastily fled the scene, leaving his wife in critical condition.
Thankfully, the neighbors promptly rushed to Priyanka's aid upon hearing her screams and immediately contacted the authorities for assistance. The police swiftly arrived at the location and initiated their investigation into the incident. Priyanka was urgently transported to the hospital, where medical professionals confirmed that her life was no longer in immediate danger. She is currently receiving inpatient care as part of her ongoing treatment.
