Minor girl was forcibly converted from Hindu to Christian, then exploited for 5 months .., mother's allegation

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has issued a notice on a petition filed by her mother for forcibly converting a minor Hindu girl to Christianity. In fact, the mother alleges that social workers of a Christian missionary named Evangelical Fellowship of India Commission on Relief and Prayas inspired her daughter to become a Christian.

The mother says that without the knowledge of her child, she was converted from Hindu to Christian. She said that after converting her to Christianity, the NGO exploited her child for more than 5 months. All this happened when the girl was in a child care institution run by the Global Family Charitable Trust. In a petition filed through advocate Dibyanshu Pandey, the victim's mother alleged that her minor daughter was 'trapped' by social workers of the above NGO, who had lodged a false FIR by her. Due to this FIR, he was produced before the Child Welfare Committee after 'five' days, which is a clear violation of Rule 81(1) of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Model Rules, 2016.

Now mother's displeasure is on CWC laxity, due to which many NGOs in Child Care Institution harassed her and inspired her to convert to Christianity. The mother alleges that the petitioner and her daughter have been denied justice as a result of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015. At the same time, the fundamental rights provided by the Indian Constitution have also been violated.
