Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K Stalin, DMK MP Kanimozhi, and other party leaders on Saturday, August 7, paid floral tributes to former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi on his third death anniversary at his memorial in Chennai. The DMK leader, Karunanidhi breathed his last on August 7, 2018, at the age of 94 after a period of prolonged illness. MK Stalin also visited the Gopalapuram house of Karunanidhi and paid tributes to a decorated portrait of the DMK leader. He also visited Anna Arivalayam and Murasoli office. In an open letter, Stalin called on the party workers to decorate a photograph of the late Chief Minister in front of their residence to observe his third anniversary. Karunanidhi entered the Tamil Nadu assembly in 1957 and became the chief minister in 1969 after then chief minister and DMK leader CN Annadurai's death.
