Another major decision of the Modi government against corruption

New Delhi: A major action has been taken against 22 officials of the Central Board of In-Direct Taxes and Customs (CBIC). These officials are allegedly facing serious corruption charges, which have forced them to retire. These officers are of the supervisory level. According to the information, all these officers were monitored by the CBI and were caught in their trap, after which the decision was taken.

Earlier, the Finance Ministry had similarly forced 27 IRS (Indian Revenue Service) officers to retire. Of these, 12 were retired from the income tax department.  From October 1, tax officials will take further action on centralized computer system generated notices and summons. The list of retiring officers is below.
